Our Core Values

  • Christ’s Headship: We believe the local church is God’s chosen vehicle for displaying His wisdom and glory in Christ Jesus and therefore acknowledge Christ as the Head of our church and submit ourselves and all our activities to His will and good pleasure – Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18.
  • Biblical Teaching: We believe that the Bible is God’s authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for Christians – Matthew 4:23; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Timothy 4:1-2.
  • Prayer: We believe that God desires his people to pray both privately and corporately and that he hears and answers prayer – Matthew 7:7-11; 1 Thess. 5:16-18; Philippians 4:6-7.
  • Financial Stewardship: We believe that as ones saved by God’s grace we have been set free from a world enslaved to the love of money and have inherited all the riches of God in Christ Jesus and therefore it is our joyful privilege be conduits of God’s grace through overwhelming generosity – Luke 16:1-13; 1 Cor. 16:1-2; 2 Cor. 8:1-9:8
  • Evangelism: We believe Jesus came to seek and to save the lost and that God desires for us to reach as many people as possible, those outside the church locally and around the world, with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. - Luke 19:10; Matthew 28:18-20.
  • Discipleship: We believe it is not enough simply to reach people for Jesus but we must also teach them how to move forward in holy living and knowledge of God and therefore each person in our church is called to follow Christ wholeheartedly and to help others do the same– Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 9:23; 2 Cor. 5:17.
  • Equipped Membership*: We believe that every believer has received a spiritual gift and that the opportunities for Christians to serve others are limitless but that Christians need training to maximize stewardship of the manifold grace of God – Eph. 4:11-16; Titus 2:1-6; 2 Tim. 2:2; 1 Peter 4:10
  • Visionary*: We believe in order to accomplish our God-given mission we must be willing to step out in visionary faith and take risks for God, seeking maximum ministry effectiveness for Christ as long as we do not violate Scripture or compromise Biblical absolutes – 1 Chronicles 12:32; 1 Cor. 9:22; Hebrews 11:6
